Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties routinely
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment
• Exceptional customer service, organizational and problem-solving skills required

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Assist in organizing merchandise and maintaining seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives and daily store communications
• Maintain store fixtures, displays and promotional effectiveness
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items and payroll tasks
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked sales floor and stockroom
• Protect store assets, including cash
• Ensure adherence to policies, safety guidelines and training of associates
• Support Store Manager in supervising and developing associates
• Maintain a safe, respectful environment with professional interactions
• Keep store clean including bathrooms, floors and waste removal
• Other duties as assigned*
