Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development.

You will assist with day-to-day store activities, oversee merchandise flow from delivery to sales floor, supervise associates, and ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Retail store management experience preferred
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and stand for long periods
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address any questions or concerns they may have
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping including payroll and scheduling, and loss prevention
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure associates follow procedures
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff
• Maintain cleanliness of the store including bathrooms, floors, trash and neatness
• Other duties as assigned
