Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the CSRA is looking for an Assistant Store Manager to help operate a busy store selling new and used merchandise. You will support the Store Manager in scheduling staff, supervising employees, and ensuring adherence to agency policies.

Qualifications

• Must have sales and cashier experience with accounting/bookkeeping ability.
• Good verbal and written communication skills essential for staff and customers.
• College education preferred; experience may substitute.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in scheduling employees and supervise store personnel.
• Assist in enforcing store safety and security procedures.
• Assist store personnel in selling merchandise and engage in personal sales.
• Receive and check incoming inventory, donations, stock transfers, and place stock on selling fixtures.
• Ensure correct sales procedures and methods are used by sales staff.
• Perform daily administrative and clerical functions, cash transactions, and daily deposits.
• Maintain store records, review sales receipts, and analyze store efficiency.
• Assist in proper training of store personnel per guidelines and procedures.
• Assist customers and handle any customer complaints.
