Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, deliver excellent customer service, and foster team development. You will assist with merchandising, inventory, and store cleanliness while supporting the Store Manager in supervising associates.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. A high school diploma and physical ability to lift are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise between delivery, stockroom, and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain storefront displays and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, process damaged merchandise, and handle payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Maintain well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect company assets, including store cash.
• Ensure adherence to policies, safety guidelines, and procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean: bathrooms, floors, trash, and general neatness.
• Other duties as assigned.
