Family Dollar in Berwick, PA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities and help supervise and train store associates.

The role requires strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills, with the ability to lift up to 55 lbs and work in a high-energy team environment. You will ensure safety, maintain stockrooms and displays, and handle openings and closings

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must lift up to 55 lbs from floor to above shoulder height and handle frequent walking, standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsabilités

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with professional interactions.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, bathrooms, floors, and trash disposal.
• Other duties as assigned.
