Job summary

Circle K is seeking a Store Manager in Minooka, IL. The role requires strong leadership to recruit, hire and train staff, ensure excellent customer service, and manage inventory and cash controls. You will schedule employees, supervise operations, and maintain store appearance to meet company standards.

A valid driver’s license and English communication skills are essential. Experience in retail sales and the ability to use computer reports are highly valued.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in retail sales preferred.
• Ability to supervise and train for the use of equipment, tools and materials listed in the CSR/ASM job description.
• Ability to supervise and manage the functions listed in CSR/ASM job descriptions.
• Ability to use computer for reports, inventory control, cash control, counseling notices, etc.
• A valid driver’s license and transportation to/from meetings.
• Ability to communicate in English (oral and written).
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire and train employees to ensure excellent customer service.
• Develop, manage and assign tasks to keep site clean, stocked, organized and well kept.
• Maintain a professional image among staff and supervisor.
• Schedule employees to maximize customer service and site appearance.
• Implement non-discriminatory management practices in hiring, training and counseling.
• Develop positive supplier relationships and resolve customer complaints promptly.
• Promote a safe, positive image within the community.
• Prepare performance appraisals in writing and provide feedback.
• Train employees to meet company standards for service, image and marketing.
• Train staff on safety procedures and promote safety awareness.
• Develop timely communication with employees and Market Manager.
• Organize and maintain site files and manuals.
• Ensure reports are completed accurately and on time.
• Ensure merchandise is stocked, displayed and priced correctly.
• Safeguard money handling and disbursement; perform financial analysis as needed.
• Evaluate and address site needs with action plans to reach objectives.
• Work indoors primarily but perform outdoor tasks like cleaning lots and pumps.
