Job Summary

This position contributes to Sun Tan City’s success by leading a team to create and maintain an exceptional client experience. The Salon Director manages overall salon operations, supervises staff, handles staffing decisions, ensures client satisfaction, monitors performance, manages safety and cleanliness, and models Sun Tan City principles.

Tasks & Responsibilities:
  • Developing and coaching employees to provide excellent client experiences
  • Addressing client concerns promptly
  • Maintaining a calm, positive demeanor during busy times
  • Ensuring quality client service through accountability
  • Driving metrics with action plans and motivating the team
  • Promoting company culture, values, and mission
  • Delegating responsibilities effectively
  • Maintaining salon cleanliness and organization
  • Managing staffing levels for development and operational needs
  • Adhering to wage and hour laws
  • Using operational tools to achieve excellence
  • Analyzing financial reports to improve performance
  • Conducting performance assessments and setting goals
  • Managing ongoing sales
  • Working a minimum of 40 hours per week, including varying shifts
Experience:
  • College education preferred but not required
  • Management and/or sales experience required
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to manage in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong client service knowledge
  • Problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Leadership skills for coaching and mentoring
