Job summary

Gillman Home Center is seeking a Retail Store Manager to lead all aspects of store operations, drive sales, and ensure exceptional customer service. The role emphasizes team leadership, coaching, scheduling, and inventory control to maximize profitability and maintain a safe, well-presented selling floor.

The candidate should bring 3+ years of retail experience (preferably hardware/lumber), 1–3 years of supervisory experience, and strong computer skills for POS and inventory systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of retail experience, preferably in hardware/lumber.
• 1–3 years of supervising employees.
• 2–3 years of retail management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a positive, approachable manner.
• Coach team members and conduct one-on-one meetings.
• Control payroll and expenses to maximize profitability.
• Maintain stock levels and optimize merchandising and displays.
• Lead loss prevention efforts and safety compliance.
• Conduct regular store and department walks and follow up on issues.
