Gillman Home Center in Indiana seeks an Assistant Manager to deliver outstanding customer service while leading store operations. You will assist the Store Manager, supervise staff, train team members, and maintain a safe, well-stocked store.

Key duties include greeting customers, resolving concerns, managing inventory and promotions, and handling administrative tasks. Requirements: 3+ years retail experience (hardware/lumber preferred) and a High School diploma or GED; supervisory/management

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of retail experience (hardware/lumber preferred).
• Experience supervising employees is a plus.
• Management experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers, resolve questions.
• Assist and support Store Manager in store operations.
• Supervise and train team members on policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and yard.
• Manage inventory to maximize turns and profit.
• Assist with administrative tasks including payroll and scheduling.
• Support loss prevention efforts.
• Ensure safety standards and supervise in absence of Store Manager.
