Job summary

Wolverine Worldwide seeks an experienced Store Manager to lead a high-performing retail team in North Charleston, SC. You will drive sales, manage the P&L, and ensure exceptional customer service, aligning with brand values and store standards.

You will motivate staff, optimize operations, and maintain a positive, inclusive store culture while delivering on targets and fostering community engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be a role model – motivate and engage your team to bring brand values to life every day, promote an inclusive and positive working atmosphere, and celebrate success.
  • Own all sales and profit results, drive cost management for the P&L, including payroll, sales, and KPIs.
  • Deliver outstanding service to all customers, demonstrating role‑model behaviours for the entire team.
  • Communicate efficiently, both on the floor and behind the scenes. Build and maintain relationships across the business, with customers and community partners.
  • Foster a supportive, productive, and inclusive environment that promotes teamwork and accountability.
  • Ensure policies, operational standards, and procedures are communicated, understood, and implemented, covering security, people, health & safety, and stock management.
  • Identify innovative and creative methods to consistently boost customer loyalty and drive the brand locally within the community.
  • Partner with the wider business to ensure prompt stock placement and manage the smooth running of the store overall.
  • Lead change management in the store, engaging your team to adopt new ways of working.
  • Create amazing experiences for customers through authentic service that leaves a lasting impression.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
  • Experience in a management role, at a fast‑paced, client‑focused retail environment.
  • Commercial approach with a proven sales background and experience setting and delivering store KPIs.
  • Flexible and adaptable to work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Flexible schedule and availability for mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Passion for our brands and brand lifestyles.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in POS systems.
  • Budget management experience, including payroll and expenses.
  • Exceptional customer service and team management skills with a proven track record of developing others.
  • Interest in and awareness of market trends in the retail industry.
