Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Retail Store Manager in Shelby, NC to lead associates, assist customers, and drive store sales. You will oversee daily operations, train staff, and implement company directions from headquarters to maximize profitability.

You’ll build community relationships, ensure compliance with laws, and maintain a safe, positive customer experience while managing assets and outreach efforts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to focus on results and build strong relationships with team members is required.
• Excellent communication skills are required.
• Retail management experience is preferred.
• Regularly lift up to 40 lbs. (55 lbs. occasionally) from floor to above shoulder height.
• Frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all aspects of business operations to maximize sales and profitability
• Oversee and delegate all store activities to ensure smooth daily operations
• Lead, train, and develop store associates to foster a culture of growth
• Provide every customer with a positive and enjoyable shopping experience

• Build strong relationships with the community by actively engaging in outreach and partnerships
• Ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, while enforcing company policies and procedures
• Implement operational and merchandising direction that is communicated from our corporate headquarters
