Job summary

Dollar General manages daily store operations in Dadeville, AL, ensuring proper staffing, ordering, stocking, presentation and sales. As a store leader, you will guide teams to achieve service and performance targets and maintain a safe, welcoming shopping environment.

You will recruit and train employees, conduct performance evaluations, enforce policies, handle opening/closing, and monitor inventory and cash controls to protect profits and customer trust.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
• Experience with IBM cash registers and reporting.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees and staff the store per policy.
• Provide training, conduct performance evaluations and counseling.
• Make recommendations on pay and advancement.
• Communicate expectations and coordinate safety and policies.
• Open and close the store properly.
• Evaluate operating statements for trends and control expenses.
• Manage stock and inventory, including BSR/cycle counts.
• Ensure product presentation, pricing and signage.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and cash controls.
• Deliver superior customer service leadership.
• Maintain a clean, safe store environment.
