Job summary

SNIPES in Cranston, RI is seeking a Manager in Training to fully manage store staff and operations in the absence of Store Manager and Assistant Manager. This is an entry level management role within the store level.

This position focuses on leading by example, driving sales, ensuring customer service, and executing floor sets and promotions while developing leadership skills for future store leadership opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• 2+ years’ experience in retail preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree a plus but not required.
• Able to respond to store alarm problems as needed.
• Communication and organizational skills.
• Strong drive to achieve results.
• Takes initiative and has problem solving skills.
• Candidate will be required to stand for long periods of time throughout their shift.
• Lifting between 15-30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead store staff and drive sales in absence of managers.
• Communicate store goals to maximize team contributions.
• Monitor performance: sales, productivity, UPTs, and loss prevention.
• Demonstrate leadership to assist Store Manager in managing staff.
• Ensure timely execution of floor set guides and promotions.
• Direct merchandise presentation and transfers according to Visual Merchandising standards.
• Understand and communicate customer needs and whether assortment meets them.
• Assist in ensuring store cleanliness in sales floor and stockroom.
