Job summary

Hibbett Retail, Inc. in Pascagoula, MS is hiring a Manager in Training in our Operations department. The role supports the Store Manager, develops knowledge of each product area, and promotes sales, promotions, and superior customer service to build lasting customer relationships.

The incumbent assists in store operations, inventory control, and staff guidance, stepping in for the Store Manager when needed and contributing to store profitability.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail environment, preferably footwear/apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience or equivalent.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Capable of assisting in managing a small team and meeting store goals.
• Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling store assets.
• Support in selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Act as acting Store Manager in absence of Store Manager.
• Provide guidance to employees and customers in all departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics and expenses to help profitability.
• Direct staff to ensure department responsibilities are met.
• Keep Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Maintain high-quality customer service per company standards.
