Job summary

Goodwill of North Georgia in Decatur, GA seeks an experienced Store Manager to lead a 25–40 member team, drive strong sales, and deliver an exceptional guest experience while modeling the nonprofit mission.

You will own store performance, oversee budgeting and SOPs, hire and develop staff, and partner with leadership to build a high‑engagement culture and a visible community presence.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience supervising teams of 25-40 employees.
• Familiarity with developing budgets and creating plans to exceed financial expectations.
• Experience maintaining and improving Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Demonstrated capacity to embrace change and make decisions.

Description

What you’ll be doing:

As a Store Manager, you’ll lead a dynamic retail operation and inspire a team of 25–40 team members to deliver strong sales results and an excellent guest experience. You’ll own your store’s performance including team, financial, operations, and the overall guest experience. You’ll serve as the face of the store in the community while building a positive, high‑engagement culture. This role includes hiring, training, and developing hourly team members and leading a team of engaged Assistant Store Managers and Shift Supervisor to build a strong bench of talent. If you’re a hands‑on leader who enjoys developing people, delivering results, and making a visible impact, this role offers the opportunity to lead, grow, and make a difference every day.

You’ll also:

• A focus on maintaining and improving Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
• Demonstrated capacity to embrace change. This cannot be overemphasized
• Demonstrated decision making abilities
• Experience with hiring and developing staff
• Proficiency with the MS Office suite

Preferences:

• An Associates or Bachelor’s degree in business or a related subject
• Prior military or related not-for-profit experience
