We are currently accepting applications for a Store Manager. The Store Manager contributes to Buff City Soap’s success by leading a team to create and maintain the Buff City Experience for our clients. The Store Manager is responsible for managing the overall operation of the makery, including supervising staff, making staffing decisions, ensuring client satisfaction, monitoring staff performance, handling maintenance issues, maintaining cleanliness, and managing safety and security.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Developing and coaching employees to provide excellent client experiences.
- Addressing client concerns promptly.
- Setting a positive example and maintaining a calm demeanor during busy times.
- Ensuring a client-first attitude by holding team members accountable for service quality.
- Driving company metrics through action plans and team motivation.
- Promoting company culture, values, and mission.
- Delegating responsibilities to ensure smooth operations.
- Managing stock of raw materials, finished products, and supplies.
- Maintaining store conditions and visual merchandising standards.
- Overseeing production, cleanliness, maintenance, sanitation, and organization of the makery.
- Managing staffing levels to support employee development and operational needs.
- Ensuring compliance with wage and hour laws.
- Using operational tools for planning and achieving excellence, including labor guidelines, reports, cash, and inventory management.
- Using financial reports to monitor performance trends and issues.
- Conducting performance assessments and setting goals to improve sales.
- Managing ongoing sales activities.
- Working a minimum of 40 hours per week, including mid and/or closing shifts as scheduled.
- Having reliable transportation for banking and other duties.
Experience:
- College education preferred but not required.
- Management and/or sales experience required.
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong client service and operational knowledge.
- Problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Leadership skills with coaching and mentoring ability.
- Team building skills.
- Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks.
Physical Requirements:
