Job summary

Guitar Center seeks a Retail Store Manager to drive day-to-day sales and operations while upholding exceptional customer service standards in Gastonia, NC. The role focuses on coaching the sales team, managing payroll and staff, inventory, and executing store operations.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of relevant experience and 3-5 years of retail experience preferred, with an interest in music. We offer robust benefits and an employee discount program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 2 years of relevant work experience required.
• 3-5 years retail experience preferred.
• Musical experience and interest preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage Sales team by coaching, counseling, advice, support, motivation or any information needed to meet sales objectives.
• Stay current on financial data, inventory, and other statistics.
• Ensure all products in the store are available for purchase and displayed appropriately.
• Oversee payroll, recruiting, hiring and training of store employees.
• Execute operational tasks related to institutional sales and rental services for all accounts assigned.
• Promote the Music & Arts lesson program and assist teachers.
• Provide outstanding customer service to every customer.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
