Job Summary

The Retail Store Manager at Sunnyside* Nine Mile Rd - Pensacola, FL oversees daily team leadership and business profitability, aligning with Cresco Labs' mission to normalize, professionalize, and revolutionize the cannabis industry. You will ensure the dispensary meets or exceeds key metrics in customer acquisition, loyalty, merchandising, operations, and talent development. This role links the Sunnyside brand vision of providing access to high-quality cannabis and knowledge with store operations.

  • Lead and motivate a team of hourly and salary employees, including recruiting, onboarding, training, managing relations, and coaching.
  • Enhance retail fundamentals such as scheduling, payroll, financial management, sales trend analysis, and reporting.
  • Resolve conflicts, think strategically, make decisions, and solve complex problems.
  • Conduct interviews, select talent, and manage team performance.
  • Combine problem solving, teamwork, technical skills, and customer service in a dynamic role.

Core Job Duties
People Management
  • Build and maintain a high-performing team through hiring, onboarding, coaching, and accountability.
  • Conduct regular performance conversations and assess team development needs.
  • Manage staffing levels considering sales trends and legal requirements.
  • Motivate the team to exceed revenue and KPI targets.
  • Partner with HR to resolve employee issues and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain a safe, clean environment for staff and customers.
Sales & Operational Excellence
  • Provide updates and feedback to corporate leadership.
  • Develop relationships with key business partners across departments.
  • Drive sales through forecasting, scheduling, customer service, and program execution.
  • Analyze market and operational metrics to increase market share.
  • Support community outreach and build a positive brand image.
  • Implement operational procedures for efficiency.
  • Oversee inventory, record keeping, audits, and compliance with laws.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years of retail management, preferably in high-volume or cannabis retail.
  • Experience managing teams of 10+ with layered leadership.
  • Ability to learn and teach technical and product information professionally.
  • Experience working with HR processes.
  • High integrity, motivation, and urgency.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong communication, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (100 with assistance).
Benefits

Includes medical, dental, vision, 401(K), FSA/HSA, LTD/STD, life insurance, paid holidays, bonuses, stock options, and employee discounts. Compensation ranges from $65,000 to $75,000 USD, based on location, skills, and experience.

Additional Requirements
  • Must be 21+ years old.
