Description

Hammer Made is looking for a full-time Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of our new store (opening in May 2025) at the Fashion Show Mall.

Compensation

Salary range of $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 with monthly bonus and commission opportunities. On Target earnings (OTE) of $70,000 - $80,000 with no cap on commissions — your earning potential is in your hands.

Essential Job Duties

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the store to ensure effective, proper, and efficient process execution.
  • Control inventory levels and provide feedback to corporate partners on trends.
  • Empower the Assistant Manager to manage visual operations and provide guidance.
  • Accurately track store budgets and manage ordering procedures.
  • Analyze sales and expense reports.
  • Manage transactions and cash for accuracy. Ensure deposits are processed in accordance with cash management expectations.
  • Uphold visual merchandising initiatives. Execute and ensure a top-quality, appealing merchandise assortment that promotes effective sales and store traffic.
  • Maintain company brand standards of a neat, clean, and organized sales floor, cash wrap, and fitting room.
  • Collaborate effectively with other store locations and outside business partners.
  • Support, promote, and assume responsibility for loss prevention in all areas of risk management.

Leadership

  • Create and ensure a cohesive work environment that inspires engagement.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: Responsible for all store staff including the Assistant Store Manager (ASM) and full- and part-time sales associates.
  • Confidently train, coach, and develop team members using Hammer Made training tools and resources.
  • Manage and motivate staff to achieve maximum performance.
  • Effectively delegate tasks to team members.
  • Lead the store team to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Network within your market and keep corporate partners informed of local trends.
  • Take on additional responsibilities from your market managers.
  • Ensure professional image and grooming standards are maintained at all times.

Staffing and Sales Strategies

  • Attract, hire, and retain a diverse team of top talent.
  • Schedule associates to maintain adequate coverage while maximizing traffic and controlling payroll.
  • Set and achieve sales goals, develop community events, and build customer loyalty.

Requirements

  • Proven retail management experience.
  • Interest and knowledge in fashion and men’s apparel.
  • Knowledge of retail management best practices.
  • Excellent selling, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Growth mindset and strong business acumen.
  • Ability to motivate and develop sales staff.
  • Proficiency with retail POS systems.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in business/sales or equivalent retail experience; 3-5 years in sales management, preferably in retail apparel; proficiency in Microsoft or Google Office Suite.

Physical Demands

  • Standing, walking, stooping, lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Visual acuity including color and peripheral vision.
  • Ability to work alone at times.

Work Hours & Travel

Full-time, variable hours including days, evenings, weekends, holidays. Possible travel to MN headquarters for training.
