Job summary

Road Runner Sports is seeking a Retail Store Manager to lead store performance and a high-energy team. You will own KPIs, coach staff, respond to customer feedback, and partner with leadership to exceed revenue goals.

This role includes managing schedules, payroll budgets, interviews, merchandising plans, and fixture orders. A strong leader with retail experience and travel readiness will thrive in this role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in retail/sales with at least 3 years in accountability management.
• Reliable with flexible availability including evenings, holidays and at least one weekend day.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% to support nearby stores.
• Strong verbal and written communication that motivates staff.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and online systems.

Responsibilities

• Own all store KPIs and drive performance to meet KPIs.
• Monitor attendance and coach/counsel the team for accountability.
• Address customer feedback and continuously improve the in-store experience.
• Oversee store visit operations and appearance checklist.
• Coach Assistant Manager, Supervisors and Team Leads into leaders.
• Lead interviews, staffing needs and payroll budget management.
• Plan and merchandise the store, manage planograms, signs and fixtures.

Your day to day will consist of facilitating the Customer experience by holding your team accountable to our Customer Commitments. You’ll also partner with your leadership team to drive store performance to meet and exceed revenue and profit goals as well support the operational tasks that keep your store in shape to WOW your Customers.

You’ll be given all the tools and training you need to support your success in your new role through our management training program. Success is measured by your ability to develop your successors and your team’s ability to consistently meet and exceed all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Responsibilities

• Own all store Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).


• Monitor and manage team attendance and ensure accountability through coaching and counseling.


• Respond to Customer feedback, resolve issues, and always strive for continuous improvement of the in-store experience.


• Own the store visit operations and appearance checklist.


• Execute high-level in-the-moment coaching and development of your Assistant Manager, Supervisor, and Team/Shift Leads into all-star leaders.


• Participate in ongoing leadership training that will fine-tune your management, accountability, operations, and communications skills.


• Set the tone in your store for positive attitude and high energy.


• Manage the weekly schedule and payroll budget and determine hiring needs.


• Lead and conduct interviews for prospective new team members.


• Own plan-o-grams and plan and lead merchandising of the store.


• Manage change orders and supply orders including signage and fixtures.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate a level of leadership that comes from a minimum 5 years of retail/consumer sales experience including 3 years in a full accountability management role.


• Reliability and flexible availability that may include days, evenings, holidays, and at least one weekend day


• Open to up to 10% travel to support stores within your area or region.


• Strong verbal and written communication skills that will inspire and motivate team members at all levels.


• Advanced computer skills including the ability to work with Microsoft Office programs and navigate the online systems.


• Able to prioritize, and use time management skills to keep ahead of daily, weekly and monthly tasks.
