Job summary

Road Runner Sports in Portland, OR is seeking a Retail Store Manager to lead store performance and coach a team to deliver outstanding customer experiences while driving to exceed revenue and profit goals.

You will own KPIs, manage scheduling and payroll, conduct interviews, merchandise plans, and participate in leadership training as you develop your successors and build a high-energy, people-first store.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of retail/consumer sales experience with 3 years in a full accountability management role.
• Reliability and flexible availability including days, evenings, holidays, and at least one weekend day.
• Up to 10% travel to support stores within the area or region.
• Strong verbal and written communication to inspire and motivate the team.
• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office and navigating online systems.
• Ability to prioritize and manage time to stay ahead of daily, weekly and monthly tasks.

Responsibilities

• Own all store KPIs.

• Respond to customer feedback and drive continuous improvement of in-store experience.
• Own store visit operations and appearance checklist.
• Coach and develop Assistant Manager, Supervisor, and Team/Shift Leads into leaders.
• Participate in ongoing leadership training to refine management, accountability, operations and communications.
• Set a positive, high-energy tone in the store.
• Manage weekly schedule and payroll budget and determine hiring needs.
• Lead and conduct interviews for prospective team members.
• Own plan-o-grams and merchandising planning for the store.
• Manage change orders and supply orders including signage and fixtures.

Your day to day will consist of facilitating the Customer experience by holding your team accountable to our Customer Commitments. You’ll also partner with your leadership team to drive store performance to meet and exceed revenue and profit goals as well support the operational tasks that keep your store in shape to WOW your Customers.

You’ll be given all the tools and training you need to support your success in your new role through our management training program. Success is measured by your ability to develop your successors and your team’s ability to consistently meet and exceed all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

• Manage the weekly schedule and payroll budget and determine hiring needs.
• Lead and conduct interviews for prospective new team members.
• Own plan-o-grams and plan and lead merchandising of the store.
• Manage change orders and supply orders including signage and fixtures.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate a level of leadership that comes from a minimum 5 years of retail/consumer sales experience including 3 years in a full accountability management role.
• Reliability and flexible availability that may include days, evenings, holidays, and at least one weekend day
• Open to up to 10% travel to support stores within your area or region.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills that will inspire and motivate team members at all levels.
• Advanced computer skills including the ability to work with Microsoft Office programs and navigate the online systems.
• Able to prioritize, and use time management skills to keep ahead of daily, weekly and monthly tasks.
