AutoZone’s Store Management team drives store performance, fosters a productive team, and ensures exceptional customer service. The Manager in Training (MIT) role prepares you for promotion into Retail Store Management, with hands-on assignments and structured learning.

Within 8-12 weeks, progression to management is possible based on experience and performance. MITs gain leadership, operations training, and financial understanding while supporting staffing, training, and customer service

Qualifications

• 1 year to 2 years of prior experience as a retail manager or supervisor.
• Flexible, full-time schedule including mornings, nights, weekends and overtime as needed.
• Bilingual Spanish and English is a plus (from context).

Responsibilities

• Lead by example, live the pledge, deliver WOW! customer service.
• Assist with staffing, mentoring, and training employees to develop the team.
• Oversee store operations, merchandising and sales to maximize profitability.
• Manage customer service activities and resolve concerns proactively.
• Learn and apply management training to support promotions into store leadership.
• Collaborate with leadership to uphold policies and structured training processes.
