Job summary

Hannaford Supermarkets is seeking a Management Trainee to learn the end-to-end operations of a full-size store and prepare for leadership roles. The program focuses on developing skills in store management, merchandising, customer service, and team leadership.

In this role you will support daily store operations, build strong associate and customer relations, and help meet financial and sales goals while maintaining our standards for food safety and quality.

Qualifications

• College degree or Retail Management work experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of store operations and total store merchandising techniques.
• Effective interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lead and manage a team.
• Accreditation by the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals or ability to achieve accreditation within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire store in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Support store operations to meet financial and sales goals.
• Build associate and customer relations and promote Hannaford culture.
• Maintain communications with the management team and store staff across the organization.
