Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Sugar Land, TX to support store operations, customer service, and team development.

The role involves assisting with daily activities, organizing merchandise from truck to floor, and ensuring clean, well-stocked areas while maintaining safety and compliance. You will help train and supervise store associates, drive excellent customer service, and uphold company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred and the ability to read and interpret operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments is preferred.
• Must lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, bending and lifting tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment with excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers with inquiries in a positive, approachable manner.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and maintain store communications and compliance.
• Maintain store displays and promotional fixtures for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
