Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. The role covers daily store functions, assisting customers, organizing merchandise from delivery trucks to the sales floor, and supporting opening/closing procedures to keep the store running smoothly.

You will supervise and train Store Associates, maintain clean and well-stocked areas, uphold company policies, and ensure a safe, respectful environment for customers

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and related communications for store activities.
• Maintain promotional storefront fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record keeping.
• Maintain well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store and restock as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
