Job summary

AutoZone’s Store Management team leads stores to deliver WOW customer service and strong operational performance. MITs receive hands-on training with opportunities for promotion into Retail Store Management within 8–12 weeks, depending on experience and performance.

Under the Store Manager’s guidance, MITs develop leadership, coaching, and problem-solving skills while gaining exposure to staffing, merchandising, and daily store operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year: 1–2 years of prior experience as a retail manager or supervisor.
• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Bilingual: Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop store team to deliver WOW customer service.
• Maintain clear communication with staff and customers to drive performance.
• Learn to analyze and reconcile monthly P&L to optimize profitability.
• Support operations with policy compliance and structured training processes.
• Assist with staffing, mentoring, and training to build a strong team.
• Oversee customer service activities and resolve issues proactively.
• Manage inventory accuracy, store merchandising, and sales strategies.
• Complete management skills training and learn core store operations.
