Job summary

AutoZone is seeking a Manager in Training (MIT) in Michigan to develop leadership and customer service excellence while mastering store operations. You will receive hands-on assignments and structured learning opportunities, with potential promotion into Retail Store Management within 8–12 weeks based on performance and prior experience.

Qualifications

• 1+ year retail management/supervisor experience.
• Full-time flexible availability (mornings/nights/weekends/overtime).
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong communication in English (and Spanish) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of store team and WOW customer service.
• Communicate clearly with employees and customers to drive performance.
• Manage monthly P&L to optimize profitability and store metrics.
• Support store operations, policies, and training processes.
• Assist with staffing, mentoring, and training to build a strong team.
• Lead customer service activities and proactively resolve issues.
• Oversee inventory, merchandising, and sales strategies to drive success.
• Complete management skills training and learn key store operations.
