Job summary

SpartanNash, a food solutions company, is seeking a Store Leader in Marine City, Michigan. You will support the Store Director by ensuring departments are staffed, trained, and operating efficiently, while monitoring purchasing, stocking, payroll, and expenses.

You will lead inspections, review financial reports, and help with budgeting and staffing. The role emphasizes hands-on supervision, training, and delivering excellent customer service in a retail grocery setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• Three years of experience in a retail grocery environment with increasing levels of responsibility.
• One year of experience in a supervisory or lead role, preferably in a retail environment.
• Proficient computer skills (email, spreadsheets, etc.).
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Accounting/Bookkeeping skills; ability to interpret/Analyze financials.
• Develop/Manage Budgets; delegate/direct/implement.
• Knowledge of products and suggestive selling; detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Regular inspections of all areas, providing feedback to department managers.
• Review reports, take action and communicate information as needed.
• Engage in financial planning including budgeting, staffing/payroll, facility maintenance and upgrading.
• Communicate and work with SpartanNash personnel.
• Train others to perform department activities and functions.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
