Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store leadership candidate to manage a team, oversee daily store operations, and ensure customer service excellence. You will supervise staff, train and evaluate performance, monitor inventory, and enforce safety and cash controls in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities include staffing, POS/credit handling, merchandising, reporting, and adherence to company policies. Valid driver’s license preferred in some locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; preferred management experience in retail.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, safety rules and procedures.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit controls.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, selects, and retains qualified employees; maintains proper staffing.
• Oversees training, evaluations, and counseling; handles performance gaps.
• Monitors sales trends, inventory, and shrink to optimize store performance.
• Ensures store is opened/closed properly and security procedures followed.
• Manages ordering, replenishment, pricing, signage, and merchandising standards.
