Job summary

Ross Stores in Richardson, TX is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help lead daily operations and supervise store teams. You will learn all phases of store operations and, in the Store Manager's absence, lead the entire operation to maintain company standards and best practices.

You will focus on driving sales, managing payroll, scheduling Associates, training non-exempt staff, and ensuring safety, compliance, and exceptional customer service across all areas of the store.

Qualifications

  • Two or more years of store or assistant store manager experience in retail.
  • Ability to supervise, motivate, and communicate positively with store associates.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize to completion.
  • English fluency is required.
  • Able to work evenings and weekends.
  • Basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead store operations in the absence of the Store Manager to ensure standards.
  • Analyze store reports to evaluate controllable expenses and performance.
  • Schedule associates to meet business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with state, local and federal regulations.
  • Maintain safety and cleanliness; uphold company policies.
  • Assist in recruiting, training, and developing non-exempt associates.
  • Assist with payroll administration and reporting as needed.
  • Lead loss prevention initiatives and inventory processes.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and merchandise presentation.
