Job summary

Family Dollar in Sunray, TX is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities and ensure the sales floor and stockroom stay organized and stocked.

As a member of the management team, you will train and supervise Store Associates, maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment, and ensure compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or similar environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties as needed.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers with questions and concerns in a positive manner.
• Maintain organized stockroom and sales floor; manage seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and ensure compliance with store policies.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and record-keeping tasks including payroll and scheduling.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and presentable store environment.
