Job summary

Circle K Stores Inc. in Bourbonnais, IL is seeking a full-time store leader to oversee daily operations, people development and customer service excellence. You will recruit, train, and supervise staff, manage scheduling, and maintain store standards and safety.

You will build positive supplier relations, handle financials, analyze sales and inventories, and ensure accurate reporting. This role requires strong communication, planning and leadership in a retail environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in retail sales preferred.
• Ability to supervise and train for the use of equipment, tools and materials listed in the CSR/ASM descriptions.
• Ability to supervise and manage the functions listed in CSR/ASM job descriptions.
• Ability to use computer for reports, inventory control, cash control, notices, etc.
• Valid driver’s license and transportation to/from meetings.
• Able to communicate in English (oral/written).
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire and train employees to ensure excellent customer service.
• Develop and assign tasks to keep site clean, stocked, organized and well kept.
• Maintain professional image among staff and supervisor.
• Schedule employees within guidelines to maximize service and image.
• Apply non-discriminatory management while hiring, training, counseling, motivating and separating staff.
• Develop positive supplier relationships and resolve customer complaints promptly.
• Promote a safe public image in the community.
• Prepare performance appraisals and provide feedback.
• Train staff on safety procedures and ensure safety awareness.
• Communicate effectively with all employees and hold regular meetings.
• Organize site files, manage reports, and ensure accurate documentation.
• Ensure merchandise is stocked, displayed, and priced correctly.
• Post employment posters in accessible locations.
