Job summary

Hibbett Retail, Inc. in Big Spring, TX is seeking a Manager in Training to support daily store operations and administrative duties. You will learn store leadership, assist in selling, merchandising, scheduling, and customer service, and step in for the Store Manager as needed.

Qualifications

• Retail experience in footwear or apparel is preferred.
• 1–3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to assist in managing a team and meet goals and profits.
• Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear.
• Collaborate with Store Manager on action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Represent the store in the Store Manager's absence and supervise staff accordingly.
• Provide guidance to employees and customers across departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to help profitability.
• Direct staff to ensure department responsibilities and standards are met.
• Maintain inventory movement visibility and respond to customer trends.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and support promotions and merchandise.
• Uphold company policies and procedures per manuals and memos.
• Protect assets and financial information and flag potential fraud risks.
