Job summary

Citi Trends is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, lead a team, and assist with staffing and development. Working closely with the Store Manager, you will drive sales performance, ensure customer experience standards, and manage onboarding and training for store associates.

This role requires a high school diploma, 2–4 years in an assistant management or retail leadership role, and 3–5 years of retail experience overall.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
2–4 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or similar retail leadership role.
3–5 years of overall retail experience preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and people leadership skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
Ability to perform basic math calculations, including percentages.

Responsibilities

Support daily store operations to ensure sales goals, customer experience standards, and operational expectations are consistently met.
Monitor sales activity and provide guidance to associates to deliver excellent customer service.
Assist with inventory control, inventory transactions, and shrink prevention efforts.
Assist the Store Manager with hiring and recruiting activities, including candidate screening, interviews, onboarding, and training support.
