Job summary

Citi Trends is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, drive sales, and lead a team. You will partner with the Store Manager on staffing, onboarding, training, and performance coaching to maintain high standards of customer service and operational execution.

The role requires a high school diploma, 2–4 years in an Assistant Manager or retail leadership role, and 3–5 years retail experience. Flexibility for nights/weekends and strong math skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–4 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or similar retail leadership role.
• 3–5 years of overall retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and people leadership skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations, including percentages.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations to meet sales goals and customer experience standards.
• Monitor sales activity and guide associates to deliver excellent service.
• Assist with inventory control, transactions, and shrink prevention.
• Supervise and support store associates in sales, inventory, cash handling, and customer service.
• Assist the Store Manager with hiring, interviewing, onboarding, and training support.
• Maintain a safe, organized store environment and enforce policies.
