Job summary

Dollar Tree in Alameda, California is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities, help customers, and ensure merchandise is well organized and properly displayed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical store duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal displays.
• Open and close procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communicate store-related information.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; supervise, train, and develop store associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of bathrooms, floors, and waste disposal.
• Other duties as assigned.
