Job summary

Citi Trends in Detroit, MI is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, lead a team, and assist with hiring, onboarding, and development of associates. You will partner with the Store Manager to drive sales performance and customer experience.

Qualifications include 2–4 years as an Assistant Manager or retail leader, 3–5 years total retail experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or similar retail leadership role.
• 3–5 years of overall retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and people leadership skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations to meet sales goals and service standards.
• Monitor sales activity and guide associates to deliver customer service.
• Assist with inventory control and shrink prevention.
• Ensure compliance with Citi Trends policies and standards.
• Supervise associates in sales, inventory, cash handling, and service.
• Assist Store Manager with hiring, onboarding, and training.
• Help maintain staffing levels through recruiting and retention.
• Provide coaching and performance support to associates.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
