Citi Trends in Michigan is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, drive sales, and lead the team under the Store Manager. You will mentor staff, manage staffing needs, and ensure excellent customer experiences.

You will participate in hiring, onboarding, and coaching while maintaining store safety and adherence to company policies. This role emphasizes leadership, efficiency, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or similar retail leadership role.
• 3–5 years of overall retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and people leadership skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations, including percentages.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations to meet sales goals, customer experience standards, and operational expectations.
• Monitor sales activity and guide associates to deliver excellent customer service.
• Assist with inventory control, shrink prevention, and transactions.
• Ensure compliance with Citi Trends policies and standards.
• Supervise and support store associates in sales, inventory, cash handling, and customer service.
• Assist with hiring, interviewing, onboarding, and training support.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and customer-focused store environment.
• Support merchandising, operational, and visual standards.
