Citi Trends, a leading off-price value retailer, seeks an Assistant Store Manager in Michigan to support daily store operations and drive sales performance. You will partner with the Store Manager to oversee staffing, onboarding, and development of store associates, ensuring excellent customer experience and adherence to policies.

Successful candidates bring 2–4 years in retail leadership and 3–5 years overall retail experience, with strong communication and people leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–4 years in an Assistant Manager or retail leadership role.
• 3–5 years of overall retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational and people leadership skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations, including percentages.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations to achieve sales goals and customer experience standards.
• Monitor sales activity and guide associates to deliver excellent service.
• Assist with inventory control, transactions, and shrink prevention.
• Ensure compliance with Citi Trends policies and standards.
• Supervise associates in sales, inventory, cash handling, and customer service.
• Assist Store Manager with hiring, onboarding and training support.
