Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run a clean, customer-focused store. You will supervise staff, manage stocking and displays, and assist with deposits and cash control under the Store Manager's direction.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least some retail supervisory experience. You will contribute to profitability, training, and loss prevention while ensuring a positive shopping environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to handle cash, deposits, and cashier tasks with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and operate cash register.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling and training of employees.
• Manage merchandise flow including receiving, stocking, and rotating items.
• Maintain accurate inventory and support planograms as directed.
• Support cash control, refunds, and deposits with accuracy and integrity.
• Assist in store operations in the Store Manager's absence.
