Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help lead a high-performing team and ensure a clean, well-organized store focused on a positive customer experience. You will supervise employees, assist with merchandise presentation, deposits, and store operations to maximize profitability and limit losses.

The role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and cash-handling skills, with one year of retail or supervisory experience recommended and a high school diploma or equivalent

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store on at least two days per week.
• Assist with employee scheduling, training, and safety meetings.
• Manage merchandise reception, stocking, and displays.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and assist with deposits.
• Support Store Manager in absence of the manager.
