Dollar General in Gonzales, LA seeks an Assistant Store Manager to help run a clean, customer-focused store. Under the Store Manager's direction, you will supervise staff, manage merchandise presentation, complete paperwork, and prepare deposits.

This role requires strong communication, organization, and cash handling skills. You will open/close store several days a week, train employees, enforce policies, and support profitability while safeguarding assets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of retail experience and six months supervisory experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Greet customers and operate the cash register to itemize purchases.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist with scheduling, training, safety meetings, and policy compliance.
• Manage merchandise through receiving, stocking, restocking and display building.
• Maintain accurate inventory and control damages, markdowns, scanning, and paperwork.
• Support planograms, cash accountability, and deposits; assist in Store Manager's absence.
