Dollar General in Louisiana is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run a clean, customer-focused store. Under the Store Manager’s direction, you’ll supervise staff, manage merchandise, complete paperwork, and help deposits, while supporting profitability and asset protection.

The role includes supervising scheduling and training, maintaining planograms, and ensuring cash control and refunds are handled properly.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations.
• Good organization skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
• Ability to perform cash register functions and generate reports.
• Knowledge of cash handling policies and deposit control.

Responsabilités

• Greet customers and operate the cash register to itemize purchases.
• Open and close the store at least two days per week.
• Schedule employees, train staff, and conduct safety meetings.
• Manage merchandise through receiving, stocking, and displays.
• Maintain inventory accuracy by controlling damages, markdowns, and paperwork.
• Ensure planograms and presentation meet standards per Store Manager direction.
• Maintain cash control, refunds, overrides, and deposits; sign for transactions.
• Assist in store leadership during the Store Manager's absence.
