Job summary

CITITRENDS is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, lead a small team, and assist with hiring, onboarding, and development. You will partner with the Store Manager to drive sales, ensure customer experience, and maintain operational standards.

This role requires 2–4 years in retail leadership, strong communication, flexibility to work nights and weekends, and the ability to manage inventories and cash handling.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or similar retail leadership role
• Strong communication, organizational, and people leadership skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
• Ability to perform basic math calculations, including percentages

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations to ensure sales goals, customer experience standards, and operational expectations are met
• Monitor sales activity and guide associates to deliver excellent customer service
• Assist with inventory control, inventory transactions, and shrink prevention efforts
• Ensure compliance with CITITRENDS policies, procedures, and standards
• Supervise and support store associates in sales, inventory, cash handling, and customer service
• Assist Store Manager with hiring, onboarding, and training of staff
• Help maintain staffing levels by supporting recruiting efforts and retention
• Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to associates
• Maintain a safe, organized, and customer-focused store environment
• Support merchandising, operational, and visual standards
