Job summary

CITITRENDS is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, lead a team, and assist with hiring and onboarding. Working closely with the Store Manager, you will help drive sales performance, maintain operational excellence, and promote a bright, customer-focused shopping experience.

This role requires a high school diploma, 2–4 years of experience as an assistant manager or similar retail leadership position, and 3–5 years of overall retail experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2–4 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or similar retail leadership role.
• 3–5 years of overall retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations to meet sales goals, customer experience standards, and operational expectations.
• Monitor sales activity and guide associates to deliver excellent customer service.
• Assist with inventory control, inventory transactions, and shrink prevention efforts.
• Ensure compliance with CITITRENDS policies, procedures, and operational standards.
• Supervise and support store associates in sales, inventory, cash handling, and customer service.
• Assist the Store Manager with hiring, interviewing, onboarding, and training support.
• Help maintain appropriate staffing levels by supporting recruiting and employee retention.
• Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance support to associates.
• Maintain a safe, organized store environment and reinforce loss prevention standards.
• Support merchandising, operational, and visual standards execution.
• Perform additional duties to support store operations and business needs.
