Job summary

Family Dollar in Tuscaloosa, AL is seeking a part-time team member to assist with daily store operations and customer service. You will help organize merchandise, support opening and closing procedures, and ensure promotional displays remain effective and well-stocked.

Responsibilities include following corporate directives, supporting store associates, and maintaining a positive, safe environment for customers and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record keeping.
• Maintain a neat, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
