Job summary

Citi Trends is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, lead a team, and assist with staffing and onboarding. You will collaborate closely with the Store Manager to drive sales performance and maintain operational excellence.

The role requires a high school diploma and 2–4 years of retail leadership experience, with the flexibility to work evenings and weekends. Training and development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–4 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or similar retail leadership role.
• 3–5 years of overall retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and people leadership skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations, including percentages.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations to meet sales goals and customer experience standards.
• Monitor sales activity and guide associates to deliver excellent service.
• Assist with inventory control, transactions, and shrink prevention.
• Supervise and support store associates in sales, inventory, cash handling, and customer service.
• Assist Store Manager with hiring, onboarding, and training of staff.
• Maintain staffing levels by supporting recruiting efforts and retention.
