Columbia Sportswear Company is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Lake Buena Vista, FL to lead Sales Associates and Supervisors, drive brand loyalty, and deliver exceptional customer service. You will coach staff on products and selling skills, while supporting hiring, onboarding, and performance development.

You will help execute schedules, control expenses, and maintain inventory accuracy, contributing to a positive, inclusive team environment that aligns with our mission and standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Ability to operate Inventory and POS systems and retail software tools.
• Experience driving customer engagement and personalized service.
• Ability to exercise judgment in day-to-day operational problems.
• Effective communication with store leadership, associates, and customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to a diverse staff of supervisors and associates.
• Create an engaging shopping experience that expands our consumer base.
• Ensure knowledge of products and technology to serve customers effectively.
• Assist with interviewing, hiring, and training a diverse team.
• Support onboarding of new team members and ongoing staff development.
• Develop action plans to improve sales, store ops, safety, and productivity.
• Create weekly schedules and manage labor and operating expenses.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through receiving, replenishment, and shrink controls.
