Job summary

Ross Stores in New Jersey is seeking an experienced Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager to oversee daily operations and supervise a team of Associates across all departments. You will ensure excellent customer service, accurate scheduling, and adherence to merchandising and safety standards.

Responsibilities include payroll oversight, expense monitoring, and leadership in operational excellence while maintaining Ross values and brand presentation. Evening and weekend availability required.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of Store or Assistant Store Manager experience in a retail environment.
• Must demonstrate the ability to supervise, motivate and communicate positively to Store Associates at all levels.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize those tasks, give direction and follow through to completion.
• Ability to set priorities and exercise independent judgment.
• Maintain high quality of Customer service.
• Fluency in English.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead store operations and supervise associates in line with company policies.
• Assist in payroll administration including daily punch edits and scheduling.
• Analyze store reports to evaluate controllable expenses and overall store performance.
• Ensure scheduling, customer service, and merchandising standards are met.
• Maintain store appearance and safety standards.
