Dollar General in United States is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager with staff supervision, merchandising, and daily store operations. You will lead customer service, oversee cash handling, and help maximize profitability while protecting assets.

The role requires prior retail and supervisory experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work with planograms and inventories. This is a full-time, on-site position at a Dollar General store.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating procedures.

Responsabilités

• Provide superior customer service leadership and operate the cash register and scanner.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist with scheduling and training of employees and safety meetings.
• Manage merchandise through receiving, stocking, and rotating displays.
• Help maintain accurate inventory and implement planograms as directed.
• Ensure cash control procedures and deposits are performed accurately.
• Support Store Manager in handling deposits and store operations in their absence.
